Starting point: Middle station of the Schlossalmbahn in Bad Hofgastein.
Piste ski tour course: Ascent with the Schlossalmbahn to the middle station - from here a path leads you to the H2a Aeroplan valley run. From there you get along the tour ST6 "Schlossalm - Aeroplan" to the mountain station "Kleine Scharte".
Tickets: The use of parking spaces, the ascent with the first section of the Schlossalmbahn, the infrastructure, the use of the signposted ascent trail and the descent piste are included in the single ticket for piste tourers, the season ticket for piste tourers and in all valid multi-day and winter season tickets (SSC, Ski amadé).

Route description


On the left fringe of the piste you will climb all the way up the H2a Aeroplan valley run. At the Aeroplanstadl ski hut, you will cross the route of piste H3 and from there, looking up the mountain, follow the right side of the piste to the Haitzingalm snow-making reservoir. At this flat point, with clear visibility, you will cross piste H4. After a few hundred meters, the route continues along a ski path. Now, you will climb up to the Kleine Scharte mountain station using the left fringe of the piste.

Ascents along the designated ascent routes are only permitted during slope opening hours and
with a ski pass valid on the day of use. In addition to the regular ski passes, special ski touring
infrastructure cards can be purchased from the online shop. This card includes services such as the use
of parking and toilet facilities at the top and bottom stations. The card must be carried during the ascent
and shown when checked by the lift staff.
