Surrounded by mountains...
Radstadt - The "old town in the mountains" is simply "all-round mountain spoiled" thanks to its unique location in the upper Enns Valley, only 70 km south of the city of Salzburg, between the Dachstein Massif and the Radstädter Tauern. The small town of 5,000 inhabitants enchants with its medieval flair and unique natural scenery as the perfect recreational and sports destination for the whole family.
Radstadt's local mountain is the 1,768 metre high Rossbrand. It is considered one of the most beautiful panoramic mountains in the entire Austrian SalzburgerLand and is an absolute must for every visitor. Around Radstadt, too, rugged peaks, "easy" two-thousand-metre peaks and idyllic alpine pastures open up a magical world of mountains and hiking. Families with children as well as real mountain experts can enjoy unforgettable mountain experiences here. The hiking bus is particularly practical and sustainable, taking mountain sports enthusiasts to the starting points of the most beautiful hikes in the region.
Summer Holidays in Radstadt
Mountain bikers, pleasure cyclists, e-bikers and racing cyclists have plenty of opportunities to pedal hard in Radstadt and the surrounding Salzburger Sportwelt. It seems as if the name says it all here: every cyclist's heart beats faster on hundreds of kilometres of bike and road bike network. In addition, Radstadt is considered the ideal home base for mountain bikers to master the Stoneman "Taurista" with its 123 km and 4,505 hm.
Tee off in lofty heights
An excellently maintained 18-hole championship course and a 9-hole academy course await you at Radstadt Golf Club. The first nine holes of the championship course run largely in the valley, but then the golfers go high up. You float up to tee 12 at 1,000 metres above sea level on the "Birdie Jet" golf gondola lift, the only one of its kind in the world. There you will hit the longest drive of your life onto the fairway of hole 13, 100 metres below.
